VT Camping Trip

Every year for the past 5 years or so I have been joining two of my closest friends from High School - Scott Mortimer and Tom McGrail - for a weekend of camping up in VT. Rather than backpacking though we've been going out on canoes so we can bring more beer. This year was no exception. We've headed back to the Green River Reservoir in Morrisville VT because it is close enough to Tom's house to be convenient but also large enough and far enough away to feel really remote. We loaded Tom's canoe and row boat to the gills with gear and headed off to an island campsite for 3 days of "roughing it"!

We set up a great campsite with a huge tarp in case it rained. But we ended up having perfect weather and the water was crystal clear and the perfect temp for swimming. I fell asleep each night looking up at the stars.
