Ice Cream with Nino

I love this picture of my dad and AJ, it just speaks volumes to their relationship. Of course my dad is loved by all four of his grandkids. But AJ is....his buddy. There's something extra special there. Maybe it's because Dad never knew his own grandfathers (one stayed in Russia, the other is the infamous disappearing Mr. Bierman). Or perhaps because my father-in-law passed away and never saw AJ, and my dad is carrying the love of two grandfathers....I believe both theories, but I'm metaphysical that way.

"Well...I don't know what I did to deserve this little fellow," Dad says, "But I must have done something right."

Indeed. More whipped cream, boys?
